Getting Things Done

I use a system called Getting Things Done (GTD) to help me manage all the tasks my busy life. I use Firefox as my browser and GMail for my mail system. There is an add-on GTDInbox that adds all the GTD functionality into GMail

As an example here are my current tags

Statuses:
Next Action, Action, Waiting On, Some DayFinished
Contexts:
Car, Computer, Home, MBT, Office, Phone
Projects:
ABM, AustCoal, Cartesis Visit, Flexirent, HiValue, Investments, Learn proDacapo, Louern, New House, PlainEnglish Guides, Synergy
References:
ProjectHome, Reference

this means I can tag emails and then search these tags to help me take the actions I need to take. Clicking on finished archives the email.

I can send myself tasks in a similar fashion to the way I would send an email.

If you are interested I suggest you read the book written by David Allen.

A BBC security quiz

While I don't think their answer on a Firewall is completely right, the quiz is a good 2-minute reminder of things you should know if you want to stay safe on the net.

Some good advice on PC security from the BBC

Although this was posted last year, it does offer good well written advice on several steps you should take to minimise the chance of having your security compromised.
